I have to admit I'm a little disappointed to find Black Veil Brides dressed in little more than tight black jeans and metal t-shirts when I arrive, but Biersack shrugs again in his very self-assured way and says: "We were up against it from day one because we put on make-up. But we did it anyway because we genuinely loved doing it … that to me is where the authenticity comes from."
As a teenager, such outlandish style was a permanent fixture for Biersack and it caused problems. "I couldn't go to the shops without being followed around the store! I used to have to say: "Guys! I'm not going to steal anything here! For a start my pants are too tight … where would I even put it?"

Jake did this interview with The Mancunion while on the Kerrang! Tour. As I made my way down Oxford Road towards the Academy, I was forced to navigate the sort of absurdly lengthy queue normally reserved exclusively for boybands. I was struck by how many amongst the crowd had styled themselves after their heroes, and I had to ask Pitts what he felt it was about the band that bred such loyalty. “It really all comes down to a sense of belonging. The truth is, we all felt like outcasts when we were in school, I know I was bullied and beaten up and it fucking sucks. A lot of kids who come to our shows are there to be somewhere where they feel they belong, and that’s not lost on us – it’s incredible to have that connection.” You can read the full interview HERE.
As the stage is set up for the last time on this tour, the chants and screams in the room were deafening; of course Black Veil Brides were up last and we had been promised explosives from various tweets throughout the day…and they were not wrong. Check out the full review on Indulge Sound!
There's a great review of the February 5th show in Bristol on Guide 2 Bristol; After the first chord was struck, female fans launched themselves forwards, struggling to hold back their emotions, and collapsing from pure ecstasy; it was like nothing I had ever seen in Bristol, let alone the academy. Andy Beirsack, the efficacious lead singer, laps up the commotion and actively encourages the discotheque of appreciation with a demanding stage presence brimming with greed. These guys know that they are beloved and they want more. Check out the full review HERE.
